Instruction applique
Appliqué is very fun to do. Just follow these simple directions and you have nice appliqué embroidery.
Load your machine with the design.
Hoop the fabric on which the appliqué will be sewn on. Sew the first color. This is the alignment stitch.
You don't have to do this step. If you have big pieces for the appliqué you can jump to next step.
Iron Wonder Under (Vlisofix) at the backside of the appliqué fabric. (Optional). Remove the paper.
Lay the fabric you have prepared for the appliqué over the alignment stitches. Sew next color. This is the tack-down stitches. Remove the hoop from the machine but do not unhoop the fabric.
Cut near the tack-down stitches.
Put the hoop in to the machine and sew the rest of the colors.
